I’m a forward-thinking and dedicated OB/GYN based in Chattanooga, TN, who strives to inspire women to become their own best health advocates and develop a new definition of excellence in women’s healthcare and education. I’m passionate about encouraging active learning and continuing education in order to serve my patients with the best services, compassionate health care and resources. My vision for Innovative Women's Health Specialists is based on an open-arms and progressive practice that aligns expectations of women’s healthcare and a range of services to improve patient care and quality.

My academic venture began at the University of Louisville School of Medicine where I received my Doctorate of Medicine in 2002. I completed my Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency at Brody School of Medicine, University of East Carolina as an Assistant Professor in the Department of OB/GYN. I am a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow of American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. I also speak multiple languages, including Spanish and basic Arabic.

Along with my drive in developing a new experience in women’s healthcare, I’m invested in my community and am a member of the Health and Wellness Ministry and Girls Inc. and have partnered with A Step Ahead Foundation in Chattanooga. I’m also honored to have received the Patient’s Choice Award (2011-2012, 2014-2015) and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2011-2012, 2014-2015).

JOB TITLE - Family Nurse Practitioner

EDUCATION - Undergraduate: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, University of Tennessee of Chattanooga: Graduate: Master of Science in Nursing, Samford University 

EXPERIENCE - 12+ Years

I am certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga and earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. I was happily employed at Erlanger East hospital for 12 years as a labor and delivery and mother baby nurse.

I am a native of Chattanooga. I am a wife and mother of two handsome boys. I am a member of Chattanooga Area Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. I enjoy reading, movies and spending time with my loved ones. I am very passionate about women’s health and enjoy being an advocate for women. I believe great things happen when women work together.

JOB TITLE - Family Nurse Provider

EDUCATION - Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing. Degrees both from Illinois State University 

EXPERIENCE - 8+ years

I am originally from a small, rural town in central Illinois. My husband and I recently moved to Chattanooga and love our new community! In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities, reading novels, watching movies (and HGTV) and spending time with friends and family.  

I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. I am board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I am a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

I spent 6 years working as a labor and delivery nurse including 2 years of traveling nursing in  various parts of the United States. My involvement in this special time in life for women and their families was a joy. I recognized my passion for Women’s Health early in my career and thoroughly enjoy educating, empowering, and cheering women on in their life and health journeys! It is an honor to work with women to help them achieve their best health.
